Call for Panel Chairs: Online Olio Webinar Autumn 2021
The Online Olio, proudly affiliated with the IMCS and hosted by the Digital Cavendish, is currently seeking panel chairs to design innovative webinars for our second annual event scheduled for fall 2021 (tentatively set for three Saturdays in October).
We warmly invite a broad range of international and interdisciplinary participants. Graduate students, post-docs, or similarly early-career scholars are all eligible to apply here by July 28th, 2021. See the attached call and poster (both with live links) for more information.
For examples of past sessions, check out our 2020 panels on education and access, insects, and imagination on our YouTube channel here.
Our goals include making the works of Margaret Cavendish and her readers more broadly available, expanding teaching resources, deepening and diversifying ties between graduate students, early-career researchers, and advanced and independent scholars, and fortifying critical conversations about Cavendish and her contemporaries.
Finally, thank you to all members who presented at and/or participated in the first Online Olio last October. The event was an incredible success and we have greatly benefited from your research, knowledge, enthusiasm, and support. For questions, suggestions, or to inquire about suitable panel topics, please email us at theonlineolio@gmail.com.
*We enthusiastically invite you to share this call and the provided materials with all early-career scholars and graduate students who might benefit from this uniquely curated professional development opportunity.
Sincerely,
E Mariah Spencer
